About the Work

Where the Trees Remember carries a stillness that feels almost sacred.

This was one of my first larger landscape paintings — a step into something more expansive, both physically and creatively. The scene captures a soft morning light filtering through tall trees, their leaves shifting between greens, golds, and muted reds. The water below reflects everything with quiet precision, as if preserving the moment.

There is something contemplative about this piece. The curved stream draws the eye inward, while the mirrored branches seem to echo memories. The title speaks to that feeling — that nature remembers what we forget. That trees, seasons, and still water hold stories beyond our own.

The colours are vibrant yet calm, layered in a way that allows the landscape to feel alive but grounded. It is a painting about presence. About standing in a place long enough to feel its history.

For me, this work marks growth — the beginning of trusting larger compositions and deeper atmospheres.
