About Me

I am Kruti Gandhi
Artist, calligrapher, psychologist, and plant lover.

Thank you for stopping by my website, I am a 25-year-old Mumbai based artist. In 2018, I dipped my toes into this field by starting my Instagram profile: @therapywithcolours. Initially, began as a calligraphy and lettering artist. I found my passion during the lockdown when I started painting canvases and fell in love with incorporating different styles together, after which there was no looking back. Along with being an artist, I have completed my master’s in psychology as of last year and currently working as a full-time artist painting for self and people.I'm a self-taught artist who enjoys watching paint-along videos from a variety of talented artists. I don't consider myself a "specific-medium" artist because I enjoy experimenting with a variety of mediums. I currently use acrylics, gouache, poster colours, and inks, but I am open to other mediums. My inspiration comes from vibrant colour palettes, and I use my own colour variations in a variety of mediums. Religious paintings, landscapes, cityscapes, and portraits (human and animal) are among my favourite subjects. Van Gogh, Tahlia Stanton, and Chris Long are some of my favourite artists that inspire me.What motivates me to paint?
I paint because it is what I enjoy doing. That's what there is to it. It's difficult to bring into terms what I feel as I paint. When I paint, I am living a life that I have created. For me, the canvas is not a static image; it is alive and moving.
