About the Artwork

Do you know how healing it feels to stand barefoot on sand and let the waves brush past your feet?

Recently, I experienced that simple, quiet therapy — walking by the sea, allowing nature to hold me without asking anything in return. In that moment, I felt grounded. Present. A part of something much larger.

This painting carries that same energy.

The Reclining Buddha — traditionally representing Parinirvana, the final release beyond Nirvana — is not portrayed here as an ending, but as surrender into wholeness. There is no struggle in his posture. Only ease. Only acceptance.

The earthy greens and warm yellows echo the forest floor, moss, and filtered sunlight. They are intentional. They remind us that we come from the earth and return to it. That grounding ourselves — whether by walking barefoot on grass, sitting on the floor, gardening, or simply breathing under open sky — reconnects us to something deeply ancient within.

The Buddha rests, supported by the earth itself. There is softness in his expression. A quiet smile. Not dramatic enlightenment, but gentle awareness.

This piece becomes more than a spiritual symbol — it becomes an invitation.

To slow down.
To ground yourself.
To remember that peace is often found in simplicity.

It is a reminder that surrender is not weakness — it is alignment.
And that sometimes, all we need is to return to the present moment.
